I agree with you doc that Jesus paid it all in full.

There is now no condemnation for those that are in Jesus.

“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

Jesus is also the author and finisher of our faith.

Hebrews 12:2

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.


Ephesians 2 starting in verse 8 tells us at least three very important truths: one, that even our faith is a gift of God, two, that our salvation is not a result of our works, and three, as a result of this salvation, we are now able to walk in good works, which God prepared for us to do. So even we see the good works we do as Christians are still a result of His power and not our own. All glory goes to God.

Ephesians 2:8-10 : For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them
