I've read that is not uncommon. I often dont start to purge until the afternoon. Dr. Clark wrote in one of her books that people who are deficient in magnesium don't get a good purge and the doses of Epsom Salts taken apparently doesn't supply enough magnesium to correct the deficiency. Another problem with me is that I'm often dehydrated so I try to drink lots of water the morning of the flush. I also take cascara sangrata - a herbal laxative which helps a lot, I put 1/2 capsule in two of the glasses of water in the morning and if I dont have loose stools I add 1/2 capsule to the Epsom Salts and sometimes to the grapefruit/oil drink. I may have to get up during the night but that is much less of a problem than not being able to purge out the toxins expelled from my gall bladder as quickly as possible. We all have to learn what works best for our bodies as we are all a little different.
