You have to cure your bowel problem but constipation is a difficult and complicated issue to solve. Beware of the miracle cure that advocate a single solution, for example "eating fibre" because they are not suitable nor a cure for everyone. Some of he causes include:

Poor toilet technique
'Rushed' lifestyle and diet
Sluggish Bowel which may be caused by medication and drugs or slow transit.
Weak pelvic muscles
Underlying illness such a depression, anxiety, spinal cord injury.
Medications such as aspirin, anti-depressants, some antacids, etc.

Increasing fibre doesn't' alway work because there are other issue such as 'over fermentation'. Any changes need to made slowly. Probiotics may or may not help. If you have constipation and wind then bulking agents such as linseed may be a value. You need to work through the problem very carefully and define what kind of constipation you have.
