Also, I completely forgot -- in addition to my hands, while Mirena was in I had a lot of pain in my knees, which made it hard to make it up and down stairs at work. Both of these symptoms disappeared immediately with removal, but, as I mentioned before, the hand pain came back briefly 6 months post removal.
