Re: Post Mirena Crash question

So I just wrote another message on a post about my later crashes. Every woman is different, and can expect different things -- so you may not go through one, and it certainly may not be as severe as your first, or follow the same pattern as mine. And hopefully you will recover much faster than I have been!

Basically, I never had a first 1-2 week crash, but about 3 months post removal started experiencing totally new symptoms (24/7 heartburn, reflux, and nausea) which were miserable, but faded after a couple months. Today I only get heartburn occasionally, whereas I never did before or with Mirena in. At 6 months post I started feeling dizzy, foggy, and nauseated -- which may be a crash, but also might be related to the use of progesterone cream, which I've discontinued -- and the dizziness is mostly gone now. I'm now 8.5 months post removal, and some of my old Mirena symptoms have resurfaced (dry eye, night sweats), as well as new symptoms. I'm hoping they will fade with time as well.

This is a bumpy road for me -- I've had a few really good months in between the bad ones, and hope that the future holds many more good months.

I'm willing to bet on your smooth recovery! Think positive, try not to worry too much about the coming months, and focus on the good things now : ) (I know, I know easier said than done, but at least you have company!)
