Re: Still on Mirena - terrible Indigestion

I had the acid reflux and indigestion, but it only seemed to flair up around the time of my period. I had mirena removed after 6 months. I am 5mo post removal, I found out through an EGD that my esophagus and stomach was inflammed. (aka acid reflux and gastritis) I started taking prilosec and changed my diet tremedously which helped a bunch. I gave up most soda and caffeine for one. I cut back a bunch on spicy food. I eat a ton more wholegrains, fresh fruit and veggies. The prilosec helped a bunch but it increased my dizziness so I had to quit taking it after about 3 weeks. A few organic, natual things to try are to eat pure liquid honey by the teaspoon full on an empty stomach. It coats your esophagus and stomach and has an anti-inflammatory property to it. Also, the best cure for me is to eat red delicious apples. If I eat part of one at the end of my meals and one a little while before bed on my bad days it really helps me. This sound crazy, but it works for me. Best of luck. I'll pray for your healing.
