Adaptogenic herbs will help rebuild the adrenals. Some of my favorites are jiaogulan, schisandra berry, licorice root, suma, Siberian ginseng and astragalus.

Vitamin C and pantothenic acid are also very important to proper adrenal function. Natural sources are best. For vitamin C I recommend papaya, kiwis, watercress, berries, nettle leaf, amla or acerola cherry. For pantothenic acid nutritional yeast, nettle leaf, seaweeds, watercress and pollen.

Potassium sources will help with the edema. Good sources include papaya, kiwis, watercress, oranges, Watermelon and parsley.
