Re: Celadrin has done wonders for my fibro pain, both joints and muscles
Hi, Aiya!
The first thing I tried for my fibromyalgia was the candida protocol at wholeapproach.com, which used to be much less commercialized. That protocol can be done using products available elsewhere for lower prices. I felt better after a couple of years on that protocol, but reached a plateau, and eventually crashed, which intuitively suggests to me that candida was a symptom of a deeper problem, and clearing it up didn't completely heal me.
I've been doing the Dr. St. Amand protocol for fibromyalgia since Dec. 2003, and went from being too fatigued to cross my apartment without resting for 15 minutes before getting back in bed, to having enough energy to work a full-time job within about a year. More information on that protocol is here:

I think that protocol is still helping me, but I have an intuitive feeling that it is still not reaching the root of the problem. I am planning to have my merury fillings out in a couple of weeks and do a mercury detox. I'm sure I'll be letting everyone here know how it goes.
I do meditate, and do some light yoga and weight training, all of which seem to help. Staying away from
Sugar and simple carbs also helps keep the pain to a minimum. When I don't exercise, I feel achy and depressed.
I've been alkalizing and taking
Sea Salt lately, and those things may be gradually helping somewhat, but so far haven't removed my sluggishness or achiness completely, or overnight.
The Celadrin also seems to continue to help me with my mobility. Getting around is just easier when I am taking it. My first post in this thread may have been slightly overenthusiastic due to the common phenomenon of a new supplement working wonders initially, then gradually being either taken for granted, or working less effectively. I do still feel like I'm moving easier, though.
I'm not sure about the various brands. Celadrin has 8 fatty acids in it, of which cetyl myristoleate is one. I have seen
cm available by itself, but it's fairly expensive, and some would have us believe that the 8 fatty acids together are more synergistic, but that could just be Celadrin(TM) marketing goobledygock.
I like to try stuff to see if it works, and have noticed that what works for me doesn't always work for others and vice versa. A doctor friend believes that there are multiple potential causes for the complex of symptoms described as "fibromyalgia" or "CFS", and to say that someone has one of these conditions may say nothing about the exact cause. Knowing the particular cause in one's own case is bound to be helpful in determining the steps necessary to effect a cure.
Have a good one!
