Muddying the waters with clean bills of health and disclaimers

In addition to claiming that money from Merck foundations had no connection to Merck, Friends of the Earth also told us that they audited themselves and lo and behold gave themselves a clean bill of health.  I would like to have them explain why neither they nor any of the other activist organizations that received drug company money (let's call it what it is - no drug companies and there would have been no money) have had anything to say about the proven and serious problem of pharmaceuticals in our water supply and waterways.

No matter how many clean bills of health they give themselves and how much they protest no conflict of interest, that looks dirty to me.
