Anybody use silver colloid in fish tank?

What is the impact of silver colloid on natural environmental bacteria? And what is the effect on fish if it gets into streams? I put some silver colloid water in an active goldfish tank and had no ill effects. Anybody have any other experiments or info? May I note that areas north of the Missouri river have micro-particular glacial gold and silver. So where's the beef? Isn't it already there?
