Re: MSM detoxifying effects?

Hi Roxio

Sorry to hear of your troubles with MSM.

Sulphur (in MSM) can be quite stimulating, the over effect of which might be 'nervous, on edge, anxious, jumpy'. There is plenty of sulphur on Onions and other Alliums, do they have this effect on you as well?

While MSM is regarded a pretty safe, any nutrient supplement which is not making us feel too good should be left to one side. Everyone of us is Biochemically individual, and some of us need more nutrients than others, and some need less. It may be you need to cut the MSM dose down or cut it altogether.

As to your depression, it might be an idea to try 'St. Johns Wort' which is a clinically proven herb for mild to moderate depression.

If you want to read up on nutrients and how they may be used to improve mental health, try 'Optimum Nutrition for the Mind' by Patrick Holford, some suprising reading between the covers, and plenty on different forms of depression.

Hope this helps
