Webmaster - A request......
Hi Webmaster. I do have a request. And I will try to make this as short as possible......
As someone who has been on here for a number of years - well I did agree with your decision to mainly go with local moderators for curezone. It took a lot of the burden off of the global moderators, whose numbers dwindled as the years passed by.
And - I do think the present system is as good as it gets. It is three tiered.......
You at the top.
Then the handful of remaining global moderators.
Then the massive amount of "local" ones.
And we have plenty of those. But you personally can't micro-manage curezone. So there is definitely a need for global moderators. And considering that they all have their own lives and can't be here every second....
Well I wish that you would strongly consider appointing Tony Isaacs as a global moderator. He has been here for years, his credentials are impeccable, he is fair and honest, and well........ When I just pulled up his history..., he has 24 BSA's under his Tony and DQ usernames. Someone should probably contact the Guiness Book of World Records.....
I apologize if he is already one. I don't think he is. But I could be wrong. And he doesn't spend his life here. But it is good to have a strong global moderating presence. And the present ones are doing a hell of a job. We don't hear much from Hanna but she is working behind the scenes to make sure this site runs smoothly. And I don't mean to just single her out. They all do a great job. But the site has grown so much. And each individual can't be here every second. So you definitely need to cover your bases and make sure that there are an adequate number of globals around. And Tony not only frequents, reads and contributes heavily to the
Support Forums , but he will also go over to the debate boards. Which a lot of moderators won't. It can be pretty harsh over there....... So buyer beware........
And... this isn't the reason I am asking this request - I have thought about it for a long time now - but Corinthian is back under several handles and numbers, and it is a disgrace.
But beyond that. Tony has earned it. He has looked after, promoted, and defended this site as much as anyone. And I am sure that there are many out there who would love to see him have global moderating privileges.
