Good site, the basic principle is to dis-empower the individual. The individual gives their power to the group, and ultimately the leader, or controller of that group.

With a group, such as a sporting group, this is not usually a problem. You add your power to that of the team, for a short period of time, but you don't lose your individuality to the team.

With a spiritual belief system/organisation, you are required to give all your power to the group, and the controllers of the group, all the time. So that you become powerless and dependant on the group/controllers.
