Fibro Support ? - my support system is attacking me

There isn't a "Fibromyalgia Support Forum", but this will do eh?

HELP - My support system is attacking me!!

I am having trouble with acceptance again. I know whats what, I know my pains are real, but the public, and some of my family, seems to think it is all phooey, and that hurts me too!!

It is like thay believe this: "Nobody has chronic pain, plain and simple. It either gets better or gets you killed, no in between, nothing can linger like that"

Of course it can. Neurological Illness can do ANYTHING. The pain can be limitless, or mild, and nobody outside the afflicted one knows how to tell the difference.

All MY symptoms are just like Mercury poisening - why cant it be that? Testing is done on blood and stool, and there is nothing there,so they say it is not mercury but they are wrong - the tissues need to be tested and they refuse to do that for me. I know they really don't want to find out, or let me find out. They protect dentists etc.

Things like that, where they don't want us to know about this or that illness because it would hurt an industry or profession, well that is reality. My famiy has picked up on the propaganda that supports that kind of conspiring to deny illnesses, and now they toss it back to me and I get really depressed and well, a bit angry and let down My support system is attacking me!!


As for the pains not being real, there is something to that. Generally, pain comes from damaging tissues, but thats not going on in my pain.

My pain is the same signals as with tissue damage, but my nerves are being "stimulated inappropriatly", unnecessarily. Regardless, its silly to think the pain feels any different, it doesn't. Just because there are no tissues being ripped, it doesn't mean they can't feel like that. Neurological pains can do anything.

There is no damage, but that is small compensation for the victims of it.I don't need scorn and betrayal heaped on it too.
