It is actually the opposite. It gives us the freedom away from locked in expectations (memory based) to create freely.
If we see reality as "light" (information) and it is spiritual in its foundation and flowing, then what we see as matter in solid form is nothing but that light taking a momentary solid state as a metaphoric representation of our ongoing thoughts (the preliminary function to what shows up on the stage of reality. Frozen light.

What you may be speaking up is allowing oneself to be influenced by co-creators. When we take our code from the stage, we give away our own creative power and trade it away for becoming a repeater of other's creations.
