Re: Forefathers were NOT xtian

This is very true Traderdrew, we also come fully loaded with cultural filters as well, my partner and I own a backpacker hostel, we see people from all over the world every day, and the cultural differences between different countries are immense.

Every language has words that do not translate well into other languages. This is where I find problems with the bible (I have read the greek and hebrew versions as well as the english), the differences in translation, and therefore meaning, in the different versions, is vast. I don't see how this book could possibly be taken as the 'word' of god, or as some believe god himself. This is one question I have never had a satisfactory answer to. This book, that is the foundation of christianity is flawed, thus looked at logically the belief system, that is christianity, is flawed.
