Papaya has enzymes in it that help break down your foods. Is it possible this is not a gall bladder attack, but maybe it is a reaction to the enzymes breaking up something else?
Either way, you should try eating the papaya in small quantities, every few days to see if the sensation you get gets worse or better.
Another option is to do a few more flushes and then try papaya again. Maybe the enzymes are trying to break down a stuck gallstone, so try malic acid tablets, apple juice or lemon juices (homemade of course) first to see if that helps.
I find it odd that a food would cause that kind of discomfort right away. If you decide to work on this issue, I would love to hear what you do and the results. This is very interesting.
