I've never had it done but have been told by those that do it that recovery time depends on your own immune system and what supplements you might take to support rapid healing. Pain meds can help and I believe it can take as long as a standard tooth extraction to recover from. Depends on the individual and tolerance.
I had 2 left wisdom teeth pulled in 05 along with upper rear molar on left and it's left me with 4 years of chronic facial pain which has been somewhat relieved tho not 100% by an NTI bite guard because of malocclusion (caused by the removals) inflamming the facial muscles over the tooth socket sites. I've seen Dr. Shankland who will not commit to me needing surgery, though my lower left wisdom tooth site might need it. Tweet
