I'm an advocate of trying anything in the alternate network to see if it
works. I learned about cayenne several years ago through the book
"Left for Dead" - a great read. Have tried it off and on up to
1/2 teaspoon of 180,000 heat unit cayenne at a time - for a long time and it
never did a thing for either my hypertension or my atrial fibrillation, or my
lipid profile. Each person is completely different and each person should
try anything they thinks that will work. But if it doesn't work, don't
think there is something wrong with you. The other side of that is you can
purchase cayenne pills at inflated prices or numerous other herbs and remedies
and there are people out there making a load of money off of it. In fact,
I sometimes think that the alternative field is almost as bad (not quite) as the
pharmaceuticals.
I got my 180,000 HU cayenne in bulk at a reasonable price at a local health
food store, still use it because I love the seasoning, but it still doesn't
provide me with any benefit that I can see other than the palette.
