Re: I give up :-(
It's a long story, but a full year after having my gallbladder out (no stones, it was only functioning at 5% capacity, found in the HIDA scan), my liver enzymes were STILL elevated, and because we had already spent $30,000 in MD's trying to find what was going on, I gave up on them and found an ND. Fortunately for me, he's a good one, which is rare too.
The very first day, he had me do a "marker", thorough blood test. Not only were my numbers out of the norm for the LDL and HDL, but also Triglycerides, and the two that were significant for the shape I was really in, was the C-Reactive Protein, and Fibrinogen. Indicators of inflammation (heart), and the sticky stuff in the blood (at risk for stroke). MD's hadn't tested for them, but I'm glad they didn't because they probably would have put me on the drugs.
The first thing the ND started me with, was colon cleansing, and
parasite killing is all part of his protocal. I found myself LOADED with parasites! And I mean loaded! Lots and lots of liver flukes, and
parasites plugging up my liver. The reason my gallbladder wasn't working, was because bile wasn't getting into it- the liver was plugged up!
Doing nothing more than colon cleansing, continuing to kill
parasites (thank goodness for his experience with that), and
Liver Flushing regularly, which is also part of his protocal..look at the significant changes made on my next blood test (8 1/2 months later):
C reactive protein way down- from being over the high end of 3.0 down to .58. Fibrinogen was a big improvement- from being over the high end past 423 down to the normal range of 274. (193-423 scale)
I can't find my blood tests to get the numbers for the LDL, HDL, triglycerides and liver enzymes, but they had all made significant changes. For the first time in over 2 years, my liver enzymes were not elevated (indicating liver damage occuring).
I would have never been able to address the load of
parasites with the Humaworm protocal, or Barefoot's.
