Re: Discussing "Oneness"
Nailed it spud.
NAILED IT!
Basically were just carving out experience. I see these paths to "enlightenment" as just another set of filters that get swallowed whole within the infinite potential paradigm.
But feel good notions are stimulating when people are using them as a wrap for their unresolved fears, etc. I call them spiritual teddy bears which only seek to act as a band aid over top of a lurking shadow.
The danger in this promoted oneness movement is a total giving away of one's spiritual, creative power to another force that harnesses it. This is done under the guise of a higher self that has your best interests in mind. That is not to say we cannot access deeper connections of ourselves and as we go deeper we find that we are all connected like cells within a body. But to function, we should celebrate our individuality. That is what makes consciousness delicious, and flavorful. Otherwise it would be a bland yawn fest.
You can see though that there is a similar energy behind the oneness push as their was old world religions. The end result is giving up your power to an external force. Same ploy. New brand.
Btw, without what we call ego, there would be no experience within the dance we call life. We would just exists as a conscious blob unaware of our selves or anything else. The ego acts as a camera angle of the unfolding story. We are one angle within the total mandala of the interwoven story. We can see ourselves as a part of a total event. That is oneness but without individuality bubbling out from this oneness the story and all its vim and vigor disappears.
I can see why some people with incoherent beliefs causing friction within themselves may want their story to disappear.
The way the NWO could use this Oneness trance is like how all our cells and organs work together under the interconnected "oneness' but in the body of an axe murderer.
It's okay to see the oneness connection but it is important to maintain individuality. This in a sense is a kind of checks and balances within the overall structure.
