Re: Grey hair, thinning hair and hair health
Probably the best DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) blocker on the planet is an inexpensive herbal grass product called Avena Sativa (Oat grass, Oat straw). DHT binds itself to the cell receptors of the hair follicle and starves it of nutrients it would otherwise get from the blood. This starvation finally kills the follicle, which first begins to grow weaker, thinner hair. The less DHT in the body, the better your hair will grow, especially in the area where male-pattern baldness forms. But this will work for women, too. No need for propecia or other products that have side effects. The Avena starts to work quickly! I tincture organic AS in Vodka for 6 weeks - works like a champion!
Another inexpensive rememdy for hair loss for the frontal portion of the scalp is Vitamin C (NOT ASCORBIC ACID - THIS IS NOT TRUE VITAMIN C). Real Vitamin C that you get from vegetables and fruits or from a suppliment containing all its constituents will prevent hair loss and improve hair quality.
IMO, the Asian herb root, "Fo Ti" would work to restore hair color, but that would depend upon a few factors: age, period of time from when you first noticed color change until present, and diet. Fo Ti invigorates the liver and kidneys. The "B" vitamins are usually deficient when someones hair has or is losing it's natural color. Getting plenty of "B's" from natural plant-based foods or from a good suppliment should help.
Black Strap mollasses will work for restoration of color, too. But it will take time and strong senses as this stuff is quite strong unless you mix it with something.
But time is a huge factor for this. It could take months or a few years for color restoration.
