Newport- thanks for the info, perhaps the melting metals doesn't result directly from the humic acid, but some type of indirect result? For example the fulvic acid penetrates the biofilm, killing the microbes, which later causes the biofilm to collapse? not sure. fulvic acid is new to me. I collected everything I could find to might attack biofilms, but that item was not on my list. I was not at last night's appointment, so all that was tested was whether fulvic acid would be beneficial for the biofilm treatment. It tested strongly positive. One to watch out for, or so it appears, is that may brands of fulvic acid sold includes many other minerals... this might be building blocks for the biofilm.
