Hello Stephan,

There are shipping restrictions involved with high concentration sodium chlorite solutions, so often a 5% sodium chlorite solution is used. This concentration is also much safer to handle. When citric acid is used as an activator, it is supplied as a powder with instructions to make a 50% solution. To activate you use 5 parts sodium chlorite solution to 1 part citric acid solution.

You may need an eye check up also... [smile icon] There is a difference between dark yellow and brown. However, I do see some similarity.
