First of all you need a lesson in color identification... [smile icon]

Concentrated chlorine dioxide solutions are actually a very dark yellow, not brown...

In running some tests on this, the only way I could obtain the dark yellow color was to 50% citric acid instead of 10% citric acid .

You may want to double check your chemicals.
