I wouldn't have chosen altoids since I'm not sure of the source of the mintiness - although they are refreshing.
I think your green stuff is a good sign. The nice green color is the color of fresh bile, so maybe you are activating some flow now. As a rule, bitter foods activate bile flow. Beets are wonderful for your liver. (I wish someone had told me these things 10 yrs ago)
You can find mint at the supermarket in the vegetable section as a fresh cut herb or as dry flakes. I believe it really does help. Although, each person may respond differently.
I bring some to work and eat a little after lunch. I take a pinch and chew it like cud. I love the stuff.
