just got a limipure air purifier

Hi everyone. I just bought a Lumipure air purifier at a thrift store for 7 dollars. I can't find any information about them online. I assume they went out of business. The thing is, there is a flashing blue light on the top and I wonder what it means when it is flashing. Also, there's a knob on the bottom of the back of the device and I wonder what it does. Looks like it should be slid up and down for some reason. Does anyone have any experience with these things. There doesn't seem to be any manuals online or o ebay for it.
