Re: Shroom:: what are you up to?

Yes, but I don't think it will work for plasmodium. My problem is not D receptor dysfunction, the actual parasite is sort of like taxoplasma gondii, and exists without ever entering into acute-phase infective status. It happened only once, and the antibodies were generated against it.
Now it is a matter of having the macrophages 'turn on' certain NEMO pathways to eliminate the inhibitory molecules that are likely in place from parasite secretions. I think in essence, it is individual genetic factors that allows the parasite to occupy certain cells\tissues. It has also by now, generated self antigens giving it relative immunity from T cell recognition.
All speculation of course.
I am turning research towards mechanically clearing and breaking weakly bonded proteins from macrophage cytoplasmic domains.
I am also looking to experiment with proteasome transplantation.
It may work if done carefully. Research could take years, and I need funding. Shroom
