Severe insomnia or chronic fatigue syndrome? HELP!

4 days ago i stayed awake for 48 hours, slept total of 4 hours after that (on and off, kept waking up) been awake since then again which so far has amounted to a day and a half, almost 48 hours again. every time i get in bed i CANNOT sleep. i dont know why, maybe my consciousness is over stimulated or thinking too much. i dont know. i laid in bed all night tossing and turning and getting so frustrated to the point where i even cry cuz i just lose hope in sleep. is this 'i cant sleep' just in my head or am i having severe insomnia issues or maybe chronic fatigue syndrome? it has very similar symptoms to what i'm going through based on this very website. what can i do to get a decent nights sleep from now on without ever worrying about insomnia again? this happens to me at least twice a month where i stay up days on end. HELP!

i have tried so far: yoga, meditation, self hypnosis, hot baths, tea, cold room, warm room, reading, no caffiene before bed or meals, counting backwards etc and so on. and i would prefer drug/pill free answers as i don't take them. thank you to any one that can help me or give advice.
