According to this guy, 10/28/2011 is the correct date. I never got much into the Mayan calendar thing, but this is an interesting read:

2012 is being manipulated

Apparently the calendar refers to day/night cycles. Nov. 8 is the beginning of a new night cycle, which is not good. Could be an interesting parallel with the web bot stuff. We'll see.
