Re: Feel sick prior to bowel movements, but fine after bowel movements

Some herbs work by opening elimination routes. One way they do this is to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. When the parasympathetic nervous system is gently stimulated, you feel the need to urinate or have a bowel movement. Sometimes when it is overstimulated, you feel the urge to urinate, have a bowel movement, mildly nauseous and nervous all at the same time, among other symptoms. And it goes away after you have a bpwel movement usually. I don't know if these are included in your symptoms exactly, but it can be really unpleasant in different ways for different people. Adjusting doses and testing various ingredients separately may help.
