Stubborn Jock itch

Hi,

I've had a stubborn case of jock itch for 3 months now.

When I first noticed it I went to the doctors and they prescribed a multicream (do not recall exactly what it was), it was a bunch of creams mixed together.. it had some anti fungal stuff in it. I didnt work at all. After that I went to the pharmacy and bought 2 different kinds of OTC anti fungal creams (miconazole and clotrimazole). I would use antiperspirant to keep it dry. This didnt slow it down at all.. it kept growing.

So I went to the doctors again.. this time they prescribed a cream called "Loprox", it has 1% cicloprirox olamine.. it did nothing.

After that I tried every home remedy online that I found... I took acidophilus 5 times a day.. first time I bought it, I got one with 5billion... after that I bought one with 50billion.. neither worked. I tried applying listerine twice a day.. diluted bleach (ya bad idea I guess lol).. apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil..

Sometimes it seems like its fading.. but it always comes back.. its never faded a lot tho.. just a little bit.

I went to the doctors again.. this time she referred me to a dermatologist.. a few days later I got a letter from the dermatologist and the appointment was a YEAR later.. August 2010.

I had a pretty healthy Diet prior to getting this.. I believe I got it from the gym.. maybe not showering good enough after a work out. I do however eat pretty bad on weekends, and drink a lot 1 day a week.

For the last week I have completely changed my diet.. I am only eating natural foods, very little carbs, and very little sugar. In case my diet is encouraging fungal growth.

This is what I eat now

Morning: 4 large eggs (hard boiled), an orange, and a lot of green vegetables (no dressing)

Lunch: beef and greens

Dinner: chicken breast, 1 cup of rice, lots of greens

Should I make any changes ? is my diet good for helping cure this?

Not sure if its relevant, but prior to getting this my diet was this
meal 1: 4 eggs, 2 slices of whole wheat bread
meal 2: chicken sandwich on whole wheat .. with cheese
meal 3: big plate of pasta
meal 4: protein shake, with oats, banana, milk and whey powder
meal 5: chicken breast, cup of rice, vegetables

I use to eat a lot.. was trying to bulk up.. but I havent gone to the gym since I got this, and no point in eating that much if I dont work out...

Other possibly relevant symptoms
The rash is on both my upper thighs / inner thighs.. it is not on my penis.
Rash is reddish, starts in small dots that eventually grow and merge with the other dots.
Rash doesnt itch or burn.. it is however more sensitive then normal skin.
My appetite seems to be decreasing, this could just be because of changing my diet.

Lastly, the only thing I read about that I didnt try was coconut oil.. I am going to try it.. I ordered it online and it should be here early next week.

Any suggestions / information would be greatly appreciated!
I really want to get rid of this.. it is scary having something growing on you with no end in sight!
