Silence him was the goal from the getgo.
The getgo goes back to the reason Bush Jr. ran for president.
And who was the architect -- Bush Sr.
Bush Sr. was eaten up by the fact that Saddam remained in power after the first Gulf war.
He never got over it.
His answer - Bush Jr.
If you look at all the events they go in a big loop ending with the fall of Saddam - that was the victory for the Bush's.
It wasn't about oil, it wasn't about Democracy for Iraq, it all came down to Bush Sr. and getting Saddam.
Quite a mess in the wake of that endeavor.
Notice 911 was used as a catalyst for war.
Once into war - false reasons for invading Iraq.
The Bush's get to live with that one - pretty reckless.
