--answer--Soil test results and a question

I just recently had my soil tested for my square foot garden. 7 days after laying everything down, fertiziling, mulching, and watering I mixed a bit of the soil up and brought it for testing.

The results came back as a PH of 5.8 but I read it's good to have it at about 6.0-6.5. I'm not sure how big a difference .2 can make but I was wondering if there's anything I can do to raise it a little?

The soil contents showed as being high in Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Phosphorus, and Ammonium Nitrogen, but low in Nitrate Nitrogen.

They recommend adding 125 lbs per 1000 square of calcium and some 10-10-10 fertilizer. But if it's low in Nitrate Nitrogen is it possible that this is the cause for the low PH as there's not enough of this acid to react against the alkalines since it's already high in calcium content? Or am I way off in thinking this?

Answer: A soil test is no better than the one doing the test and their interpetation!

Those who tested your soil do not understand what you have done, thus their suggestions should not be listened to!

I would be un-happy if the pH of your soil was High!

It must read Acidic to cause the release of Energy from the Alkaline Minerals for the plants to be able to intake Alkaline Mineral Energy!

Now, if you had the portable ph testing tools that you could test each day of the month, you would find that as the lunar cycle changes during the month, the pH will also vary at least one full point, Like from 6-7 or 7-6 etc!
