how are your fundamentals? hydrated? flushed? flowing? eating right(no carbs and proteins together)?
i think the metallic taste is a backing up of the elimination systems. you might want to explore or double check those things before launching into a gram a day.
when i have done this i took it all at once in the morning. you could do half in the morning and half at noon or just after.
if you have dental metals that would explain everything. your body will always try to get rid of them which means systemic exposure to them. mercury and nickel are not good. gold and other precious metals, not so much.
