Might be worth checking out LDN (low dose naltrexone). It could at least halt the deterioration.

I know this is probably not the right forum to suggest a drug, although a very small amount (3mg). But I do know someone who was cured of Chrohn's by using it. And there are thousandas of MS sufferers seeing good results. No side effects and all about increasing endorphins. (important part of the immune cells).
