Governments never like to admit liability in these cases. My own Father, a Vietnam verteran, suffers from chonic heart disease. The Australian department for veterans affairs has, after many years of fighting, acknowledged the link between heart disease and many other conditions, and the chemical spraying used in Vietnam.

They now are willing to pay for treatment of these veterans, and are looking at compensation claims. This is too little , too late , for many vets that have since died from these illnesses, but a start.

Corporations, as is the case with James Hardy Industries and CSR (asbestos miners and manufacturers), prefer to keep the victims of their neglegence in court for years, preferably having them die before any compensation gets paid out.

What a lovely world we live in !!!
