CONGRATULATIONS on your beautiful new son!!

I always recommended to my ladies that they continue to take the same supplements while they nurse that they were taking while they were pregnant. It helps the hormones to level out easier and it continues to supply you and the baby with the nutrition you both need.

As far as healing after the birth - I used to recommend that you get a peri bottle, make some BF&C tea, then put it in the bottle. Keep it in the bathroom - every time you use the bathroom - when you are finished, irrigate the perinium with the BF&C tea. I know it's been a couple of days since the birth, but if you are still swollen and sore - another thing I used to do, was soak a sanitary pad with BF&C tea and then freeze it for after the birth. After the mother was cleaned up - the first pad we put on her was the frozen one with BF&C - this helped to numb the area, along with taking the swelling down - and the BF&C is very healing.
