I'm so sorry to hear about the stress your little niece went through, but the way the labor was started would not have caused this. This type of thing is common in babies who are late or have been under stress during the labor. It is the first thing we check for when the water breaks - to see if it is clear or not - as this is an indicator of how much stress the baby is under. Tweet
