Wow. Hugs, hugs, hugs, Wommie - for you both. I'm sooo very happy you're both all right and your hubby is such a good driver! Thank him for me, will you, please.
I'm also glad the other driver - however drunk, drugged or misguided - was not hurt - he must have someone who loves him, too.
About six weeks ago, just as I was getting ready to come back, I had an accident where I got hit at about 60km/h - it was on a side street, not highway. Still, my son and I said good-bye to our car, as it looked bound for the junk yard; we could not believe it would not be totalled.
I had no merit in getting out of it unscathed (well, almost). Had the impact happened a fraction of a second later, it would have been much, much worse. Not my driving skills at all this time, but definitely divine intervention.
I thank "them" every morning/night :-)
P.S. Such moments can really make one philosophical and marvel at the extreme fragility of life - at the very least, isn't it?
