Re: List of items for making CS?
your money is better spent buying a water distiller and drinking that exclusively for life. then you also know you have pure water.
obtain two pieces of pure silver and suspend them in the water. hook up 30 volts to the silver and let it run. when the silver gets covered in silver oxide(a grayish brownish dust) pull them out and wipe them off with a new paper towel and put them back in.
letting this process run will teach you about what is going on. get a fine-beamed led light or laser light and check for the tyndall effect. this will become more and more pronounced as time goes on. also, as the concentration of silver int he water grows you will begin to be able to see the silver coming off the positive piece in yellowish wisps barely visible.
keep going. this first batch is a learner. as the silver content grows, so does tds and conductivity and more silver per minute is sintered off.
let it go until you have a yellowish hue to the water. at that point check the time. you have gone too far for optimal CS. its still CS and works like hell. the color is indicating agglomeration, particles are sticking together to form larger particles. if you kept going you would fine the color turning red. i never took it beyond that point.
you dont need to know much to make CS, you just need experience doing it. you can buy distilled water and get started. silver, wire, alligator clips, a glass jar, a plastic lid with holes for the silver, and DC current. i use the radio shack 30 volt transformer, but four 9v batteries in a series works devilishly well. you could make this stuff anywhere.
after all that you can add a small air pump for fish tanks to stir the water. this also injects oxygen which helps keep particles small.
rest assured that whatever you make will work. also, you will get better as you learn to do it.
