I live in QLD and know that among my friends, no one wants fluoridation.
I've seen poll results indicating that the majority of Queenslanders do not want it. I've read the newspaper articles about the QLD fluoridation, in which dentists and other experts proclaim it to be perfectly safe and necessary for healthy teeth in humans. Some articles give statistics indicating that communities living in unfluoridated areas suffer much more dental decay. The mainstream Australian public tend to believe the 'authorities'. Mainstream Australians are very believing and trusting.
It is disappointing to see that the public opinion is ignored.
The most disturbing aspect is the inclusion of children in this mass-medicating.
I keep thinking that the best we can do is educate ourselves and be an example to those we care about - this is a major reason why I just resumed study, this time in natural medicine and nutrition. I got sick of sitting back watching all the sh** going on and thought that if I got that bit of paper I would be able to assist.
I have a water distiller and Iodine that I take daily.
I have never voted and they've not chased me up. Tweet
