Re: Dangerous Pine Trees removed to make way for fluoridation plant!!!
If the push to fluoridate our water keeps going, we will all end up brain dead. It makes me soooooo mad that the people are ignored when it comes to these government decisions. We have a bad track record in Australia when it comes to government listening to what people want. After all over 70% of people in Aus didn't want to send troops to Iraq, but the government did it anyway to placate george bush and co.
We have NO rights in Australia. We only have implied rights, which basically means that we cannot claim or right to free speech, freedom of religion or any 'rights' under the law, unless we are prepared to go argue them in the high court.
For example: we have had umpteen referendums, in my state, over the issue of daylight saving in the summer. The people of the state have said NO everytime, but the government, backed by big business, keep putting the issue on the table. I was soooo sick of this I didn't vote in the last referendom on this issue, because it seemed so pointless, and got fined for not voting. We don't even have the right not to vote.
So the poor people of Mackay, will have little or no say when the government decides they all need some poison in their water. Theres not even any point of voting for a different government, cause they're all the same in the end anyway.
lol, sorry for the long post, but this really gets my goat.
