In the context mentioned here, perhaps the word you were looking for was "double speak". On the one hand the docs tell people "eat right". Just to clarify, the context involves advice by docs who believe that if a person is careful about the things they put into their body, favoring the putting of healthy things into their body, they have less chance of developing cancer.....sounds all well and good until you stop to consider these same docs are the types who by profession are paid to put all kinds of unhealthy poisons into a patient's body, which they call treatment to include chemotherapy that is known to wreck people's livers, kidneys and other important organs.
This overall is a pretty good example of what double speak looks like in action, with perhaps a dash of plausible deniability and other placations that such professionals are known to ply by trade.
