Re: I think I know what causes sinusitis & flu ....
All of those symptoms you just mentioned are normal for any sinus infection except for the noticeable sleeping problem (that's more a problem of dehydration).
I have no medical training whatsoever, but after 55 years of living, I have enough experience dealing with periodic sinus problems. Actually, dehydration is a result of nasal drip because the "drip" itself interferes with all of the normal functioning of the body (mainly in the gut), but the warmth of the towels will enable your body to better deal with all of that.
Garlic is good at killing bad bacteria.
Also try APPLE CIDER vinegar.
Eat FLAVORFUL sauces and candy. Anything that stimulates/excites the taste buds, also "kick starts" your body into fighting/overcoming the sickness of the sinus (mind/body connection). Anything that is oily (like mayonnaise, etc.) and tastes good (salt, pepper, butter, tasty herbs, tasty junk food, candy, cup cakes, etc.) not only provide empty calories (extra energy), but also pleases YOU/your body (mind/body connection VERY important). You will feel better because you are healing better.
NEVER avoid calories (avoid diet sodas and diet foods like the plague.... Aspertame is a poison to the body). Calories are good, and right now, you need EXTRA calories to fight off the sinus problem.
Three pinches of
Sea Salt every day should help with the dehydration problem.
