YAY!! Re: I need suggestions.
YAY! evidence you don't use pesticides!!
I've been eating produce out of gardens since I was old enough to eat solid food -- and I've never done more than spray it off with a garden hose (and when I was little, sometimes I didn't even do that).
I found a couple posts/threads on Google that say things like this:
>>>Those are just aphids, and you can wash them off with a blast of water. We also use a lettuce washer that spins water through the leaves very fast, and I don't think they can hang on. I would rather eat an aphid, though, than lettuce picked by people who have no place to wash their hands after relieving themselves of wastes.<<< ...and I would add...or sprayed in fluoridated pesticide, grown in poisoned fertilizer, or irradiated.
I know of absolutely no (logical/sane) reason why one should worry about a few aphids on some organic greens. People/cultures throughout the worlds regularly ingest all variety of insects.
Personally, I'd consider them a nutritional bonus :)
