i used to live in north-ish Ontario, land of the black fly, and the famous refrain: "I'll die with the blackfly pickin' my bones, in North Onriaio-io, in North Ontario."


We used Avon "skin so soft" as a bug repellent: it was legendary, among forest-dwellers. worked like a charm. Mind you, this was two decades ago. Not sure how Avon felt about that, or whwhter they changed the formula, or marketed it anew. They could have made a fortune. didn't have much smell at all, and was rather pleasant.
