Alopecia

I have lost a lot of hair at my base of my neck & going up through my scalp. I have managed to keep it hidden since the top of my hair is longer, so it hides it. I was diagnosed today by the doctor as having alopecia along with a kidney infection so far & he is sending me for further tests for my body this week. I don't know anything about all this, I just know that half my head is missing my hair & well, only if I were to put it in pony tails or go out in the wind or whatever ppl would know? I also have lost some of my eyelashes & all of my eyebrows (thank god for make up).....I just find ppl look at you strange when these things are seen......I don't know what to do or think really?
