Re: And sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is another dang train!
Yes, I agree with you. At one point we thought perhaps her daughter could drive her and then fly back, but that does not appear to be an option. My only hesitation til now has been the fact that my back has still not made it back 100% and trips of over an hour or so cause pain and numbness in my foot and leg. But it is better now and what has to be will just have to be at any rate.
I'm really thinking though that I am likely to have to fly out and fetch the gal. Of course she still wants to attempt the trip, but I just don't see it happening.
Luella was simply physically and mentally worn to a frazzle, subject to panic/anxiety episodes, and losing too much weight - no doubt greatly caused from carrying for and worrying about me 24/7 for many weeks on end while I was out of action with my back trauma. The idea of her trip to California was for some needed rest and recuperation while visiting her family. Instead, she arrived worn out and was greeted by the wonderful California pollution and allergens AND a lot of dust and mold in her daughter's house AND worst of all, cat hair/cat dander from two cats.
I think that perhaps her packing and doing all the things to get herself and the car and two found dogs ready for the trip without enough rest and the excitement kind of got to her. Hopefully, since she relocated to her son's house, some of the triggers will be gone or lessened and she can rest up for a few days and get better.
Thanks Hanna - you're the best!
