Maybe you can consider other options to keep your social life like going shopping together, or to the movie theatre, or hiking, swimming, going to the gym...whatever, I'm sure there is something you can think up. Me and my friend for example like to take a walk to the shopping mall, which is about 10 minutes one way, so that's 20 minutes of exercise, plus socialzing.
And then you can still eat out from time to time...as long as it's something you do once in a while and not as your way of life it shouldn't affect your health all that much.
